Description

Our Bike Loan Scheme aims to provide you with quality “refurbished” bikes for low cost rental. Each of our bikes is unique, having been donated to our pool by other cyclists. These are then re-furbished up to a good standard by volunteers assisted by a professional bike mechanic so that they are safe, roadworthy and efficient.

Weekly hire (or part thereof) of a bike, helmet and lock from our Bike Pool collection. These bikes have been donated to this student led bike refurbishment project and brought back into use under the guidance of a trained bike mechanic. Price is for 1 to 7 days use.

A deposit is held in case of malicious damage or theft of the bike, helmet or lock within the hirers care. This deposit will be returned once we have checked the condition of the bike and equipment. For full terms please see our website

All our bikes are unique having been donated to our Bike Pool by students, staff and local residents. We therfore have everything from tourers and hybrids to fold-ups and racers. Have a look at our online catalogue and see what is available for hire right now.

We have two bikes stores from which loans are made. Long term loans are made from St Gregs quad whereas short term loans are made from DRA Hall

For short term Summer rentals from David Russell Apartments, just take your payment confirmation to the front desk of the services building and show the staff on the front desk your receipt. They should also have a copy sent to them by email when you book through the online shop. Just tell them which bike you require from the hire list and you will be given your lock combination and helmet.
