Retirement Collection for Aileen Colford and Donna James

Description

After 41 years and 40 years respectively of unstinting professional service to the University, many grey hairs, indefatigable smiles and an occasional tear, Aileen Colford and Donna James (Graduation Office in the Principal’s Office) have decided to call it a day and take well-earned early retirement.

Before moving to College Gate they both worked for many years in Registry.

To mark their retirement we are inviting friends and colleagues to contribute to their leaving gifts. Contributions should be made by Monday 3rd July. Retiral cards for Aileen and Donna will be held at the Reception in College Gate if you wish to sign them.

To send them happily on their way (and to make sure they actually do leave) we are having a retirement bash for them on Friday 7 July from 5pm onwards in the Beacon Bar of the Students’ Association.

Retirement Collection for Bill Close, Grounds Foreman

Description

Bill Close, Grounds Foreman, officially retires from the University on the 3 July 2017, after 27 years service.

Bill is well known to most staff and to mark his leaving, we are inviting friends and colleagues to contribute to a collection for him. Contributions should be deposited by Monday 26 June 2017 at the latest.

There will be a presentation to Bill during a reception to be held on Friday 30th June 2017 at 3.00pm in Room 2 at Agnes Blackadder Hall, which you are all invited to.

Irene Paulton, School Secretary of Classics retires 31 July 2017 after over 23 years of service at the University.

Irene is currently working as School Secretary in Classics for nearly 16 years. Previously she has worked in Admissions, Estates, Chaplaincy and Student Services.
