Physics & Astronomy
Our Mobile Planetarium consists of an inflatable dome where a representation of the night sky as seen from our latitude is projected. The projector is motor-driven to show the apparent motion of the sky as the Earth rotates.
Our shows can be tailored for a variety of audiences.
For children in P5 and above, we can do shows about what causes night and day, the Moon and its phases, the constellations and the Milky Way, how to locate planets on the sky, just to mention some examples.
For very young audiences, we have a projection illustrating the shapes of the constellations using shapes and images easily identifiable by young children.Capacity30 in a young children show, 25 in a children plus adults show Additional InformationFor more information please contact Gerardo or Aleks or visit: http://www-star.st-and.ac.uk/planetarium/
