Description

The RIVR (Recently Independent Virology Researcher) meeting is a 2-day conference for early career UK virologists. This provides a platform for discussing novel research, promoting new collaborations and exchanging experiences to successfully establish a career in virology.

We are delighted to have Professor Nic Stonehouse from the University of Leeds deliver the keynote talk.

The Journal of General Virology has kindly offered sponsorship to assist delegates who would otherwise find it difficult to attend due to caring responsibilities. This fund might also help delegates without grant funding but is limited to applicants who are in the process of applying for an independent position (lectureship or independent fellowship). Sponsorship is limited, so we strongly encourage delegates to seek funding from their institutions before applying (e.g. institutional caring funds or travel funds). Please contact the organisers for more information.
