The RIVR (Recently Independent Virology Researcher) meeting is a 2-day conference for early career UK virologists. This provides a platform for discussing novel research, promoting new collaborations and exchanging experiences to successfully establish a career in virology.
This meeting is a well-established tradition (in 2023 it will be the 16th annual meeting; although it should be the 18th if not for a COVID-19-related hiatus), and as in previous meetings, the programme includes a keynote lecture from an established PI in virology. During the lecture, the invited speaker summarises their significant contributions to virology, as well as providing invaluable advice for managing diverse professional and personal commitments during the transition to independence.
For 2023, we are delighted to have Professor Nic Stonehouse form the University of Leeds deliver the keynote talk.
When: 12th – 13th January 2023 (lunchtime arrival and lunchtime finish)
Registration deadline: 1st October 2022
Guest Speaker: Prof Nic Stonehouse (University of Leeds)
