Michael Croy, Executive Chef with Residential and Business Services will be leaving the University on Thursday 28th November 2024.

Michael Croy began his career with the University in October 2012 as Senior Chef in DRA, and from that point forward he proved himself a valuable member of the RBS Team. After a year in this role, he was promoted to Chef Manager in AMH, during which time he spent a summer in DRA as Deputy Residence Manager. In November 2014, he was given the opportunity to work in the Byre Theatre as Chef/Restaurant Manager. After his award winning performance in the Theatre he landed a new role in Andrew Melville as Chef Manager in September 2015. In February 2016 he was successfully promoted to Hospitality Chef Manager, which changed to Events Operations Head Chef in May 2018, evolving into Executive Chef in April 2024.

The one thing that can be said for certain is that he has made a difference. His unique approach to food, his attention to detail and his passion for perfection will have left its mark long after he has left.

We wish him the very best in his new adventure. He will be missed and never forgotten.

To celebrate and thank Michael for his years of service, dedication, and hard work, we invite you to contribute to a collection to mark the occasion.

There will be an Afternoon Tea for Michael in Andrew Melville Hall Dining Room from 2pm on Thursday 28th November 2024, so please come along and wish him well.
